OUTPATIENT CONSULTATIONS
Due to the lowering of the Alert level to 1 in Metro Manila, we have discontinued our telemedicine clinic. All consults will be seen face to face starting March 2022 by appointment. However, requests for appoinments will still be through https://pghopd.up.edu.ph/ .
History of the Division
The fellowship program for allergy and clinical immunology was established in 1966 initially for research purposes. In later years, a separate program was created with a regular fellowship in immunology, which was headed by Dr. Augusto Lingao.
In 1972, the Section of Allergy and Immunology was established fusing the two subspecialties (Allergy and Immunology) into single fellowship training program with Dr Benigno Agbayani Sr, as its first section head. A joint fellowship program between the Department of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics was conceptualized in 1987, in coordination with Dr. Madeleine Sumpaico and was eventually duly recognized by the Philippine Board of Allergy and Immunology in 1990.
To date the division has produced a total of 98 graduates practicing mostly in different areas of the country, 43 of which are internists and 55 pediatricians.

Post graduate conferences
In 2016, the division began to host yearly conferences on Reproductive Immunology. The 1st Reproductive Immunology Congress in the Philippines was held on October 13, 2016 in New World Hotel, Manila bay.
A joint webinar was held in place of the yearly Reproductive Immunology Congress last August 18, 25, September 1 and 27, 2021. The venture was in partnership with the UP PGH Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
National Allergy Day
Our division also celebrates the National Allergy Day held in July. The event includes a lay forum for our allergy patients to educate them on their allergic diseases.
The division prides itself as the pioneer of reproductive immunology in the Philippines. Dr. Eduardo C. Lim was the first reproductive immunologist in the Philippines, and he introduced the field to the fellows of the division.
