#IMontheJOB: A Real-world and Evidence-based approach to common health issues at the Philippine Workplace
October 20, 2018 (Baguio City)

In celebration of the tireless spirit of the working Filipino, the UP PGH Department of Medicine Alumni Association, Inc. brings to the spotlight a real-world and evidence-based scientific discussion of common health issues at the workplace. This 1-day postgraduate course focused on typical dilemmas faced by the clinician and other healthcare professionals in the course of his or her management of the working class patient. The course faculty was assembled from the pool of well-respected and renowned alumni of the UP PGH Department of Medicine as well as guest experts from selected fields.

The course was intended specifically for: Practicing Physicians (General Practitioners, Family Medicine Physicians, Occupational Medicine Specialists, Internists, and Medical Specialists in various fields), but is open also to: Doctors-in-training (medical students, clerks/interns, physicians-in-training) and Allied health professionals. Participation in this scientific gathering shall correspond to the accumulation of PRC Continuing Professional Development units from various medical societies (Philippine Medical Association, Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, Philippine College of Occupational Medicine, Philippine College of Physicians, and the Philippine Nursing Association).

The Alumni Family

The UP-PGH Department of Medicine Alumni Association, Inc. is a collegial network of internists dedicated to effective, efficient, and patient-centered health care. Its members include graduates of the Internal Medicine Residency Program and/or the Fellowship Programs of the Philippine General Hospital, with more than a thousand graduates spread across the country and providing compassionate, expert and evidence-based care across a wide range of medical fields.
